Runbook
A runbook is the documented set of reviews and maintenance tasks required for named decisions, with owners, evidence, outputs, and retirement conditions.
Use scheduled, asynchronous, or event-triggered review according to consequence and volume. The runbook should name the decision, evidence, owner, action, cost, and condition for changing or retiring the review.
A cadence is not inherently valuable. Measure whether the review resolves material questions at an acceptable cost; fold it into existing work or retire it when it no longer does.
Where it breaks
Maintenance happens only after something breaks, so every fix is made under time pressure with no review.
